about

Recording of Fencer's set from The Intersection in Grand Rapid opening for Badflower's headlining show.

Taped by Charles Dewey Cole

Taper notes:

"This was originally scheduled for the 400 capacity Stache (the front room of The Intersection) and it sold out in one day. They then moved the show to the main room (1500 cap) and it ended up selling out the week before. Pretty crazy. This was the largest show to date Badflower has ever headlined. I had seen a previous date on this tour in Indy and really enjoyed Fencer's set, so I decided to get there early and roll for them in GR. Glad I did. They got a super long set (for them) around 50 minutes long and Badflower came out and pranked them towards the end. You will hear the drums become less and less audible during the final song (Joseph Courtney) - that's because Badflower was dismantling their kit. They tried to finish the song on Badflower's kit, but it wasn't mic'd up in the mix.
